Hands under the hood of a vehicle doing an oil change

CAA’s Mobile Oil Change service comes right to your home

Need an oil change? CAA’s Mobile Oil Change service is a huge time saver that conveniently comes to your home. Say goodbye to spending hours in a garage waiting room or dropping off the car.  Instead, book a time online in seconds that works with your schedule. Our trusted partner, Easy Tire, will send a TIA-certified mobile technician with the best tools and equipment for the job. While they work outdoors, you can relax in your living room.

So how does the easy and spill-free service work? Our technicians will come to you, whether it is your home or office building. They will set up an absorption mat around the car to protect the area. Then our professionals follow all safety measures and extract the oil using a vacuum mechanism.

Each appointment takes approximately 1.5 hours, but you don’t need to sit around in wait. Instead, you can continue your day while the technicians do a 23+ point inspection where they will inspect your vehicle’s battery, tire tread, belt, and wiper blades.

Another major difference from going to the garage is there is no up-sell experience. We will bring the usual maintenance parts with us (air filter, cabin filter, and wipers) and check their condition as part of the service. If they require replacement, you decide. No pressure.

Book your CAA Mobile Oil Change appointment to give your car better mileage and a longer life while saving you money by lowering your costs. It's easy and affordable exclusively for CAA Members in select regions of Ottawa, powered by trusted CAA automotive partner, Easy Tire.

3 Questions Our Members Ask About CAA’s Mobile Oil Change

1. When should you get an oil change?

Most newer vehicles are equipped with oil condition monitoring systems that track signals when it is time for an oil change. For older cars, always check the vehicle owner’s manual as the intervals differ by manufacturer. If you can’t find the manual, the factory maintenance schedule can be found online.

2. Why should I use the service instead of doing it myself?

Most vehicle owners opt not to do it themselves because accessing the oil filter may require lifting the vehicle, removing a wheel, or putting it on a ramp. Additionally, removing the filter or replacing the oil pan drain may require a special tool.

3. How does the vacuum extraction work?

The extractor uses compressed air to create a vacuum, and then we insert a drain tube down into the oil pan via the dipstick tube.  The extraction process takes approximately 5-10 minutes if the oil is warm. Once complete, we remove the drain tube and reinsert the dipstick into the dipstick tube.
